Jessica and I are both cat lovers. So, having one around our home just seemed like the thing to do. Our first cat, Tuxedo (the name should be self-explanatory... but if it isn't, e-mail me and I'll fill you in), came to us in June 2000 from a farm/bed & breakfast in Pennsylvania where he formerly resided under a porch. Little did we know that this adorable little creature would turn out to be one of the strangest cats we would ever know...

Like most cats, Tuxie loves to hide. Well, at least he thinks he's hiding. He also loves to eat... a lot... and, at press time, weighs in at a hefty 11 and a half pounds. That might explain why he doesn't spend too much time in an upright position.

Tuxedo, like our other cats, also knows how to beg for treats. Yes, cats will do that, but you have to train them while they are very young. Jess has had several cats of her own, and she successfully taught all of them how to beg. As a matter of fact, I'm now trying to teach Tux how to take out the garbage and change my oil. Unfortunately, he's catching on much more slowly this time.)
